The conference was organized by the regional initiative “MARRI,” under the Presidency of the Republic of Albania, in cooperation with the International Representation Office, Hilfswerk, Sarajevo.

Representatives of the Albanian side highlighted the overall achievements, particularly those of the Ministry of Interior, as the leading ministry in the fields of migration, asylum, and human trafficking prevention.

Key achievements include the crafting and enforcement of legislation, national strategies, and action plans, along with the enhancement of human resource capacities in line with European Union standards.

“These accomplishments not only fulfil Albania’s obligations for EU integration but also reinforce the commitment to upholding the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, while also offering support to vulnerable migrant groups,” states a post on the Ministry of Interior’s social media.
