Vata/ The work for the reconstruction of the residential buildings destroyed by the devastating November 26, 2019 earthquake in Durrës continues uninterruptedly.

Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj said on Monday that 18 buildings are under construction in Spitalë, Durrës.

“The new neighborhood in Spitalë, Durrës, is taking shape, with the first 18 buildings, out of 85 ones set to be built through financing from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, while over 60% of infrastructure works within the area, investment of the Albanian government, has been completed,” he said.

Ahmetaj added that “with a unique architecture, this will be the largest and one of the most beautiful neighborhoods built in the light of Reconstruction Program, a generous donation from the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates to families who lost their homes to the devastating earthquake. “
