Spiropali informed rapporteur Schieder about Albania’s swift progress toward EU membership, the advancement of negotiations for Clusters I and VI, and the preparations for opening negotiations for other clusters.

“We are strengthening the leadership of the Assembly in ensuring democratic legitimacy, inclusiveness, and transparency in the integration process. National consensus on EU membership is a driving factor for accelerating the pace toward the European family,” said Spiropali.

Spiropali emphasized that the ambition for EU membership by 2030 is supported by tangible results in advancing reforms, fighting corruption and impunity, strengthening democratic institutions, and ensuring the independence of the justice system.
