Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj said that at the end of 2020, there were registered 2974 active ICT companies.

According to Denaj, Albania ranks first in the region in terms of the number of IT graduates per capita.

“1787 students graduated in Information and Communication Technology in the academic year 2020-2021. 28.2% of enterprises in 2020 had ICT specialists, while 12.8% of them sold products or services through e-commerce. The companies relied on competitiveness and innovative capacities, while the legal framework is aligned with EU legislation and policies”, said Denaj.
