TIRANA, May 6 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama has voiced confidence that a majority of the Albanian voters will back his ruling Socialist Party in the May 11 vote to take Albania’s European Union accession process forward.

Addressing a final campaign rally in the town of Librazhd on Tuesday highlighted the importance of the parliamentary elections for the country’s EU membership bid and called on voters to unite and leave aside their political affiliations to support the ruling Socialists.

The government head stated that the majority of Albanians already know that the country is heading in the right direction, the national economy is steadily improving and will grow further in the coming years.

Rama said SP and majority of Albanians had all the reasons to believe that the best has yet to come for Albania and its European future.

“May 11 is an extremely important moment. It is indispensable to make every effort to make sure that every Albanian voter, even though a supporter of our rivals, is convinced and joins us,” Rama said.
