Speaking at a gathering in the Rozafa Castle in northern Albania city of Shkodër marking the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party, Rama said the government had “all the reasons” to lead Albania towards EU membership, which he described as a responsibility owed to future generations.

“We are stronger than ever before,” he told supporters.

Rama also dismissed criticism over public administration staffing at the event, saying the meeting reflected progress achieved over time.

He said a majority of Albanians were firmly committed to completing the EU accession process, despite acknowledging ongoing challenges.

“They are not satisfied with everything they encounter in daily life,” Rama said, adding that supporters of EU integration were nonetheless determined to overcome remaining obstacles and opposition.
