TIRANA, March 15 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the third session of the marathon podcast presenting the new additions to the Socialist Party’s electoral team for the May 11 elections, invited three of the candidates for deputies from the Korça district: Vinjola Rota, Vesa Spaho, Gëzim Kora, and Genti Jakollari.

In her introductory speech, candidate Vinjola Rota stated that she had worked at a Maltese college, which was an inspiration for her career.

“I worked at the ‘Themistokli Gërmenji’ High School for nine years. Then, I took on a new challenge when I was appointed to the Regional Directorate of Education in Korçë. I have lived by the motto: ‘Do not do to others what you would not want done to you.’ As long as I hold that position, or any other position, I want to do my best. When I heard Niko mention my name, it was a pleasure and an acknowledgment. I say with conviction, those who work, are appreciated,” she expressed.

Vesa Spaho, a candidate from Korça, explained that this is her third time running for deputy. Raised in a socialist family, she shared how the DP removed both of her parents from their jobs in 2005, leaving them unemployed. She emphasized the importance of securing an EU passport for future generations and criticized the DP for its arbitrary dismissals. Spaho believes that working with the Socialist Party pushes individuals to exceed their limits.

Prime Minister Rama pointed out, “Today, teachers are free to attend meetings with the opposition, voice their opinions, and speak freely, without anyone following them.”

Another candidate from Korça, Gëzim Gora, stated that he was born and raised in Bilisht, Devoll. “I completed my education there up to high school, then I moved to Tirana for studies in mechanical engineering, and later specialized in energy. After completing my studies, I worked in the private sector. I have no work experience in the public sector. I come from outside the state sector,” he said.

“I was born in Korça and currently live in Devoll. I completed my agronomy studies in Korça and have deep ties to Devoll. I am part of the Socialist Party’s structures and consider myself a product of this political force. I began my political journey as a typical teenager, not with strong emotions but driven by the adrenaline of friendship and family. It started as a game, so to speak, when I was 17. I’ve been involved in politics since 2000. Being included on the closed list is a tremendous honor for me. When I heard Niko, I was overcome with emotion and filled with happiness,” said candidate Genti Jakollari.
