“First of all, I want to welcome Prime Minister Edi Rama and express my gratitude to him for being here with us in this important event,” said Aliyev.

“Albania and Azerbaijan are two friendly countries. We actively cooperate in various fields. We maintain a very active political dialogue and my meetings with the prime minister have been part of a regular agenda in Albania, in Azerbaijan,” Aliyev pointed out.

“In the light of various international activities, we support each other, in international institutions and work actively on energy security issues,” the President of Azerbaijan underlined.
“Albania has played a very important role in the implementation of the southern gas corridor project and continues to play a crucial role as a member of the TAP team”, he emphasized.

“We are already discussing various aspects of our energy cooperation and I am sure that during today’s discussions with the prime minister we will address all the issues,” said Aliyev.
