The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy started the implementation of the subsidy program covering 70% of the amount for each family that will apply for a solar water heating unit.

The scheme for encouraging the use of solar panels for heating water by household consumers aims to subsidize up to 70% of the cost from the Agency for Energy Efficiency.

MIE announced the opening of the call for applications for business entities for the provision of solar panels for water heating for household consumers.

According to MIE, this measure aims to reduce electricity consumption and improve the supply of hot sanitary water; reducing CO2 emissions.

MoIE informs that household consumers by heating water through solar panels save 20% in their utility bills.
This is the first call for applications, which is addressed to business entities interested in providing the service of selling and installing solar panels for heating water for 2000 (two thousand) household customers, who will be selected to benefit from this support scheme.
Business entities must submit the documentation in accordance with the following criteria to the Agency for Energy Efficiency or by e-mail info@eficenca.gov.al, by October 18, 2022.
