In a meeting with representatives of small business in Durrës, Rama said that in addition to compensating the price of energy, the government will also subsidize the increase in the price of public transport and give in cash 3 000 ALL for 3 months to over half million of people.

Rama cited the example of a very small business which pays 2 thousand lek for the energy bill, while it actually consumes 5030 lek.

“This shop is run by a woman who works open to add something to her pension and has neither a Mercedes nor an Audi. The government pays upfront 3020 lek for her energy bill. If she takes the bus she will not feel the soaring cost of transport in the fare which is covered by the government. We will also give her another 3,000 lek in cash for the increased price of staples,” said Rama.

These measures, according to him, benefit over half a million Albanians.
