TIRANA, Oct 31 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, stated on Tuesday that the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) will be a government priority, an important instrument for guiding future investments in priority areas, promoting development based on know-how and innovation as part of the journey towards the EU.

At the Smart Specialization Strategies (S3) meeting, Balluku said that this strategy will be a road map
for all programs, strategies and reforms that will be made in the future.

According to Balluku, S3 is comprehensive and benefits all four components, members of the administration, government, business representatives, but also civil society.

“There is nothing more fruitful than a consultation table, a dialogue where all stakeholders, government, business, academics and civil society have the same voice, speak the same language and listen to each other”, said Balluku.

According to Balluku, Albania has completed one of the most important phases regarding the drafting of the strategy, which is the consultation with all the stakeholders sitting at the table.

“The goal was to identify the priority sectors where investment and innovation, especially technology, will constitute an added value for the country’s economy. “Everything that has come out of the consultation table is in line with the government’s policy, strategy and priorities, based on the 2030 Program,” said Balluku.
