Under the proposed amendments to local taxes and tariffs in Tirana, the plan includes a 50% reduction in the educational infrastructure tax and cleaning fees for businesses operated by single mothers and female family heads with three or more children.

“Businesses established by single mothers with three or more children will be eligible for a 50% cut on the temporary educational infrastructure tax, contingent upon submission of a family certificate and an official commercial registry extract to the General Directorate of Local Taxes and Tariffs,” the draft states.

In addition, the proposal includes tax exemptions for associations formed by pensioners and persons with disabilities.

The benefits will become effective upon submission of the required legal documentation confirming the association’s composition.

The Tirana Municipality plans to open the draft decisions for public consultation before final approval.
