In addition to clearing up public spaces in residential areas, the action has also been extended to beaches and along national roads where unauthorized roadside buildings are being demolished.

In context of this campaign, Prime Minister Edi Rama warned today that no carwash will be located in public space amid neighborhoods to wash cars on sidewalks.

“Therefore, whoever has them should remove them by themselves so as not to pay the fine for environmental crime,” the prime minister warned.

The clearing up of public spaces is seen as a necessary step to improve the service, efficiency of every business and enterprise in accordance with national standards of hospitality and service, not only in tourist areas, but in every corner of Albania.

Throughout July and beyond, the local and central governments will focus on clearing up public spaces in protection of the communities. /m.m/r.e/p.s./
