TIRANA, July 30 /ATA/ Ministry of Economy has drafted a special bill to regulate the market for products sold online, isolate the advertising of unsafe goods and eliminate unfair competition.

For the trade and supervision of the market for non-food products, the bill aims to strengthen controls with the aim of approximating legislation with the EU.

In a television interview, Deputy Minister of Economy Enkelejd Musabelliu spoke about the way it will work if this bill gets the green light in the Parliamentary committees.

“Many products sold online that come from outside the Albanian territory do not have an identifiable entity in Albania, significantly limiting the intervention of relevant bodies in cases where the products pose a risk to the health of users. Meanwhile, measures will be taken starting from the traceability of the product,” he said.

Through this draft law, it is intended to strengthen the supervision of products sold at a distance, by creating clear legal mechanisms for identifying responsibility, effective intervention and promoting a fair and safe commercial environment, in accordance with European standards. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
