According to sources from the municipality of Shkodra, the project management group held a meeting at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. The deputy mayor of Shkodra Onid Bejleri who was also present at the meeting, guaranteed maximum support from the municipality for this very important project.

“The construction of the Adriatic- Ionian Highway will greatly benefit the Municipality of Shkodra in terms of creating a direct connection with EU countries, easing traffic at the connecting points with Velipoja and Muriqan, but also the reconstruction of internal access roads”, the municipality of Shkodra pointed out.

The Adriatic-Ionian corridor from Milot to Fier will pass through Thumana and Rrogozhina and then connecting with Shengjin, Velipoja, to cross the most scenic side of the coast towards Montenegro. This axis will give a further boost to touristic Albania and the economy of these territories.
