According to the BoA, in 2020 the share capital of the banking system increased by about ALL 10.1 billion, or 6.56% compared to a year ago.

The capital structure continues to be dominated by foreign capital, which, at the end of 2020, represents about 76.04% of the paid-up capital of the banking system, with a decrease of about 1.12% compared to the end of 2019.

The Bank of Albania announced today that, at the end of 2020, the banking system remains consolidated in 12 banks, of which 4 are banks with Albanian capital and 8 with foreign capital. 6 of these banks originate from European Union countries. //a.i/
