TIRANA, Feb  13 /ATA/ General Directorate of Road Transport Service (DPSHTRR) will soon have its new branch to improve the service for the northern municipalities of Kukës, Tropoja and Has.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Monday on social media images from the project for the construction of this facility, which will improve the service for citizens.

Rama said that this project, which is set to kick off soon, will facilitate and modernize road transport services for the three northern municipalities of Kukës, Tropoja and Has.

Over 18,000 vehicles and  28,000 motorists are serviced in this regional branch, where approximately 72,000 services are performed annually, including a significant number of vehicles bearing Kosovo plate numbers that undergo the tachograph test.

This investment includes the construction of a new facility taking up a surface area of ​​420 m2 (administration, service room and testing classroom), the reconstruction of the NTC silo, the administration settings and the Archive in it, as well as the functional courtyard with 30 parking lots, in total 5 600 m2 investment.
