Rama said that the first phase of the investment in the “Koço Gliozheni” Maternity Hospital for the rehabilitation of the Emergency and the Women’s Center is nearing completion.

Also, according to him, the Assisted Reproduction Center will be established for the first time.
Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, yesterday inspected the works being carried out in this maternity hospital, where the first phase of the investment is set to be completed by October and then the second phase by December.

Speaking about the Center for Assisted Reproduction, she informed that work is underway in terms of structure and the biomedical equipment and drug package, which are necessary to start assisted reproduction for the first time in public hospitals as we have pledged. Also, the minister emphasized that they are working on the training of the staff and the strengthening of capacities in this direction, so that we have a well-trained team.

The investment in the “Koço Gliozheni” maternity hospital is part of the investments in maternal, newborn and child health in maternity hospitals. /m.m/sm/
