“Pensioners are at the top of our priorities,” wrote Prime Minister Rama on social media, sharing images from the welcome he received from retirees and the meeting with them.

During the meeting, Rama stated that the year-end bonus for pensioners will be increased, adding that one of the schemes includes the allocation of a second bonus, in addition to the year-end bonus.

Rama emphasized that the government is working on designing a scheme that will include pensioners in any percentage of economic growth, beyond the government’s projections.

Rama stated that the government’s plan for increasing pensions focuses on combating informality in payroll reporting. Furthermore, he emphasized that the government will also increase its contribution from the budget.

The Prime Minister also appealed to small businesses to report real payroll and to pay social and health insurance. /j.p/sm/
