The Head of the international jury Amanda Levete announced the winning company of the international competition that saw the participation of five finalists that presented their designs aimed at transforming the old facility into a UEFA 4-star stadium and transform the area’s urban infrastructure.

“I would like to congratulate the city of Tirana as the culture of architecture competitions in Albania has now become important. You are really lucky that all this culture and desire for architecture is supported by the government and the entire city,” she said.

The investment project blends history with innovation to create a modern and functional space for the community and sport.

The new ‘Selman Stermasi’ stadium project, in addition to modern sport facilities, is also designed to transform urban areas and provide fresh opportunities for the citizens, local community and the economy of Tirana.

The project will energize the city, will provide for innovative development of public properties, urban renewal and a modern stadium.
