According to indicators published by the Institute of Statistics, in 2021, in the region of Tirana, services sector has most of the employees, 68.7% of them, INSTAT says.

In this region 26.7% of the total employees are employed in the industrial sector and only 4.6% of them work in agriculture.

Durrës region has about 39.4% of employees engaged in the industry sector, the largest number of employees in this sector, 46.5% in the services sector and 14.1% in the agriculture sector.
In the regions of Lezha and Vlora respectively 47.7% and 48.2% of employees are engaged in the services sector, 26.9% and 28.4% in the industry sector and 25.3% and 23.3% in the agricultural sector.

In other regions of the country it is employment in agriculture that represents a significant share of 44% and more.
