Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday shared images of the medical staff on duty, emphasizing the government’s preparedness to provide first aid and essential health advice to beachgoers.

“On the stunning Palasë coast, where summer attracts thousands of visitors, the summer health center is on daily standby to offer medical assistance and guidance,” Rama stated via social media.

Dr. Denada Mulaj, who has served at the Palasë center for the past three years, noted that the facility frequently treats cases such as sunburn, allergic reactions, insect bites, and minor injuries from physical activities.

Medical staff are also actively educating the public on sun safety and heat-related risks. Citizens are advised to stay hydrated, seek shade during peak sun hours, use sunscreen, and consume light meals.

“The most important thing is to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during the hottest hours of the day,” said Dr. Mulaj, highlighting the center’s dual role in treatment and prevention.

As part of Albania’s seasonal health strategy, the Palasë center plays a crucial role in ensuring a safer summer for both local and foreign tourists visiting the Albanian Riviera.

A total of 36 health centers have been opened across Albania since early June and are fully operational to provide 24-hour medical services, seven days a week, to both domestic and foreign visitors during the summer tourist season.

The summer health centers are located in the country’s most popular tourist destinations and beaches, ensuring immediate response in emergency situations. They also offer preventive and advisory services to help safeguard visitors’ health.
