During the speech held today at the event organized on occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party in Durrës, Rama stated that having opened all negotiating clusters in unprecedented time, Albania is now poised to begin the process of closing the chapters.

Head of Government underlined that, “Tomorrow’s conference aligns with the calendar agreed with the European Commission, reflecting our shared objective to conclude accession negotiations by the end of 2027″.

“Europe is no longer a faraway horizon across the sea, but a reachable peak. The path is clear, and we are on a jointly charted timeline with the EU”, said Rama.

He emphasized that present-day Albania is closer than ever to EU membership, while referring to political opponents, he declared that, “Albania will be made a member of the EU by the Socialist Party of Albania”.

PM Rama highlighted that the Socialist Party’s roots lie in the anti-fascist, liberal values of the National Liberation War. He defined the SP’s stance on its communist history by stating that the party explicitly rejects communism for the damage and suffering it caused.

“Unsurprisingly, the leadership of our so-called opposition remains anchored by the most disgusting vestige of the old regime. They are exactly what Václav Havel identified as the ultimate threat: the anti-communist communist”, Rama emphasized. /e.i/r.e/p.s./

Basha and his group demand to have a recourse in the High Court so that to overturn the decision taken by the Court of Appeal, which on June 11, 2024, decided to recognize Sali Berisha as the leader of the Democratic Party, giving him the seal and logo of the Democratic Party. According to Basha, the decision of the Court of Appeal was unfair.

The Court of Appeal announced today that, “On 23.07.2024, the legal representative of the Democratic Party, lawyer Indrit Sefa, has filed an appeal against the decision of the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction no. 723, dated 11.06.2024. After carrying out the relevant administrative actions, today on 29.07.2024, the file was sent for recourse review to the High Court”.

“It is among the rarest marine species, scientifically documented for the first time in our waters in 2020 and it constantly pleases our eyes thanks to the passionate specialists of the protected areas of Vlora and the cooperating associations”, wrote Kumbaro.

The presence of the Mediterranean seal in the shores of Albania is an indicator of the extraordinary natural potential that our country enjoys.

The registration of the natural person will now be forwarded to the subjects with an electronic seal and the service can be obtained through e-Albania.

Minister of Finance and Economy Delina Ibrahimaj said that the improvement enables, within the legal framework, the filling of all deficiencies or the correction of errors. To complete the application, it is necessary the prior equipment with an electronic signature.

Albania ranks among the countries with the best quality public digital services in the world. The United Nations report reads that our country is among the 8 countries with the most advanced digital development in Europe and the 19th in the world.

Today, E-Albania has 1227 electronic public services, 756 of which are also available for business. 83 public institutions offer their services through the single point of contact, E-Albania, thanks to the Government Interaction Platform where 58 electronic systems are integrated in real time.

One of the basic steps in protecting and conserving a species is to constantly monitor it and the habitat in which it lives. As a result, within the project of The MedFund, the National Agency of Protected Areas has made possible the installation of two trap cameras in two areas considered as suitable habitats to be used by the Mediterranean seal, an activity which enables the exploration of the species and the underwater world.

The cameras were installed within the project “Operational Support for the Management of Karaburun-Sazan National Marine Park”, implemented in cooperation with the Regional Administration of Protected Areas Vlora, with the support of TheMed FUND and funding from FFEM.

In 2016, it was estimated that there were less than 700 living individuals of this species, located in three or four isolated subpopulations in the Mediterranean Sea (especially in the Aegean Sea), the Maderia archipelago and the Ras Nouadhibou archipelago in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean. After a scientific monitoring for 5 years in a row, the trap cameras installed in the marine park documented the presence of the Mediterranean seal in one of the monitored caves, where it stands for shelter and food.

“This success is the product of more than 10 years of efforts in order to protect the habitats and important species of the park. With the support of UNDP Albania and “MedFund “, our specialists managed to photograph the youngest resident of this park”, – emphasized Minister Klosi.
