TIRANA, Aug 26 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama focused on the progress of the European accession process today, pointing out that “Albania was rated highly from partners in Brussels in the screening process.”

At the Annual Conference of Ambassadors of Albania, Rama said that ” the time we are living in today is marked by a historic transformation of Albania”.

“Whoever says otherwise ignores the facts, or worse still struggles with the evidence both internally, those of democratic and European state-building of the system of institutions of the country in order to ensure sustainable economic and social development towards EU membership, as well as externally, the determination and continuous consolidation of a proactive role of the country in the international arena” , Rama said.

The prime minister stressed that the progress of this time, which is a time of great transformation, is tangible and is welcomed globally.

“Our diplomacy has entered into a new dynamic, has played a key role in the transformational developments of this time, which must undoubtedly be further pushed through diplomacy to fulfill Albania 2030 vision,” the prime minister added.

Rama underlined that today Albania negotiates EU membership, following an extraordinary screening process of the country’s entire organization system.

“The Albanian National Team with all its divisions responsible for 33 chapters and 3 fundamental criteria, got the most positive grades from our partners in Brussels, where the country drew praise for its readiness to comply with EU legislation and standards in all areas, as well as received a clear map of steps and actions to realize this old national dream” , added Rama.
