TIRANA, Jan 28 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/Prime Minister Edi Rama noted that the practice of using school courtyards for construction began in the ’90s which coincides with the disarray era, while emphasizing the construction of 45 new schools in Tirana, with 10 more underway.

In the “Sy m’sy” feature, the Prime Minister responded to a comment through a video message from an individual who urged him to check out the condition of schools in Tirana, claiming that their courtyards have been grabbed by the “construction mafia.”

The Prime Minister brought up the case of the “Kosova” school, noting that the issue of returning properties to school courtyards is a thing of the past and no longer relevant.

Prime Minister Rama recalled the “Kosova” school property dispute, emphasizing how, as mayor, he prevented the construction of apartments on the school grounds. Despite the destruction of the building and trees, Rama highlighted that they rebuilt the facility from the ground up, restoring it as the oldest school in Tirana.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the same will happen on May 11, when both Albanians inside and outside the country will show that Albania will never slide back into problems it has already overcome, on the contrary will only climb towards the peak of 2030 in the EU. “May is coming, and we will be here,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister also invited the commenter to visit the schools in Tirana with him, where there are currently 45 new schools and 10 more under construction.

“I invite you to take a tour of Tirana with me and check out the schools together, but we should bring some food with us because there are so many to see. In fact, we should take three days off because one day is not enough to see them all. There are 45 new schools in Tirana, not including the 10 others that are currently under construction,” said Rama.
