It is located near the village of Muzinë, close to the Delvinë-Gjirokastër national road, about 30 minutes from Saranda.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared footage today on social media featuring moments of tourists visiting this popular attraction.

Rama writes, “Enjoying the refreshing coolness of the Blue Eye in Sarandë.”

Visitors stop at this popular spot to capture photos, relish the flowing spring waters, and sample the cuisine at the two tourist eateries within the park. Courageous young guests are also spotted plunging into the chilly spring water for a swim.

The “Blue Eye” is Albania’s largest and most stunning spring, recognized as a Natural Monument. It reaches a depth of up to 45 meters and boasts fresh, sweet water, surrounded by lush vegetation and permanent greenery.
This natural gem of Albania received enhanced protection status as a Natural Park following decisions in January 2022. Its territory was increased to 293 hectares to provide better conservation for the Natural Monument bearing the same name within the park.
