Vata/ The EP standing rapporteur for Albania, Isabel Santos, said that the meeting of General Affairs Council of the European Union which is expected to schedule the intergovernmental conference of Albania and Northern Macedonia with EU is an important moment for Albania.

In a posting on Twitter, the EP standing rapporteur for Albania, Isabel Santos, says that the road of EU accession must reflect the progress made by the country.

“The General Affairs Council of EU should schedule the First InterGovernmental Conference. The goodwill of the Albanian people towards the European Union also deserves this development,” she said.

Santos also agreed with the statement of EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca, who said that “this is the first time that all member states are in favor of Albania.” /j.p/sm/
