TIRANA, February 9 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that, “The further deepening of the reform is long-term and successful cure to address the cancerous wound of bribery in the health system”.

In a press conference, Rama described as very good news the handcuffing of those he described as “four other rascals in the context of in-depth investigations that began after the public denunciation of a lady, citizen, through the investigative TV show “Stop”. It is very good news because it is a very clear message in the first place for the citizens who should not hesitate to denounce every case. I thank them for the work they do and specifically for this scandalous and at the same time so significant case “.

Rama added that, “It is a clear message for all that part of the body of health workers which, fortunately, is a small minority, but it is a minority enough to pollute the image, to pollute the purity of the health workers, to pollute the path of transformation, not only of their conditions, but also of their performance still continuous to exist”.

And definitely, underlined Rama, “It is a clear message for the future, as I believe that the long-term and successful cure to address the cancerous wound of bribery in the health system is the deepening of the system reform. Reform that we have undertaken and now we are in the conditions when we have a solid basis to take the big step of hospital autonomy, to further motivate doctors based on their performance card, to diversify according to performance and to reward doctors. And of course, the transition to a whole stage, where in fact, based on the best models and best practices we can achieve and will achieve that public hospitals operate with a logic that harmonizes free service for citizens with motivational reward for doctors ”./p.s./
