The sanitary landfill project aims to introduce an environmentally friendly and economically sustainable waste management system in the Korca region, which is supported by Germany through an investment of 11.5m-euro by the KfW Development Bank, the German Embassy said.
In his remarks, the Ambassador Zingraf said that, “a convincing model has been created here that will process the waste of 250,000 inhabitants of the region according to European standards. This model is also a good example of financial transparency and practical application of the Polluter-Pays principle, as all operating costs are covered by waste tariffs.” //a.i/
