Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, in a meeting with the security officers in Tirana’s schools, spoke about the increase in salaries and underlined the strengthening of their role in the perimeter of the school, for the prevention of phenomena and events that threaten the safety of children.

“For school security officers, there will be an average salary increase of around 13,000 lek for this position, and the average salary will reach 80,000 lek, which will be the average salary for school security employees” , Minister Manastirliu said.

Appreciating the work of security officers in schools, Manastirliu also spoke about the importance of strengthening their role.
“We will continue to increase the number of security officers in schools, based on the new criteria, and we will also aim for even closer cooperation with all the structures, which are located both in the school and outside to guarantee the best security service in schools, with a focus on prevention. We want to guarantee well-being and safety for our children”, Manastirliu said.
There are 30,000 employees, from pre-school, primary, 9-year, secondary, vocational education teachers, as well as non-teaching staff who benefit from the new salary increase scheme.
