TIRANA, June 8 /ATA/ During an event in Shkodra, Prime Minister Edi Rama spotlighted Albania’s improved global image, emphasizing that its citizens feel increasingly respected and secure across the continent

” It is inspiring to see young Albanians celebrating their heritage so freely in the streets of Milan and Brussels. A decade ago, this level of proud, open representation wasn’t possible. Today, those outdated ‘black sheep’ stigmas are gone, replaced by well-deserved respect and visibility “, he said.

According to Rama, this progress is the result of our hard work and the public’s trust. We achieved this by standing with the people who believed in us—a bond we have never broken.

PM Rama defended the right to protest but argued that Albania needs nation-building more than unrest. He stated that while grievances are valid, the ultimate priority must be collective hard work and development.

He added that European integration remains the government’s main objective and that Albania should not miss the historic opportunity for membership in the European Union.

Speaking about the debates on development of the tourist project in Zvërnec, Rama called on citizens to listen to the arguments and wait for the presentation of the project before having their say.

We cannot halt a project that is actively underway,” the Prime Minister stated, emphasizing that it is being designed by qualified professionals rather than self-proclaimed experts on social media.

The prime minister also stressed the importance of foreign investments for the Albanian economy.

With a GDP of €27 billion, Albania cannot afford to turn away €4 billion in investments. In a highly competitive global market, a country’s economic health is driven by its ability to attract foreign capital, said the prime minister.

In conclusion, Rama said that the historical mission of the Socialist Party remains Albania’s membership in the European Union. /gj.m/j.p/p.s./
