On April 20, 2021, there was signed the contract with the winning company for the construction of Vlora airport. This airport will be the third in the country and will also offer transoceanic flights. Vlora International Airport is expected to be the largest airport in the region not only for passengers and cargo, but also for the aircraft maintenance industry.

The terminal will extend over an area of ​​20,000 square meters. The entire airport will be covered with solar panels. These will produce 5.2 MWH of renewable energy, which will be used for the needs of the airport. /a.f/p.s./
