With regard to elections, he said, it is needed greater clarity on electoral coalition and coalition program with a clear objective and a contract with the Albanian citizens.

Asked whether his party will be in coalition with the Democratic Party in April 25 general election or the Republican Party will run on its own, he said: “We are in a coalition with the Democratic Party for 30 years and from 2013 on we are in a political coalition and have taken joint, even difficult decisions at times,” said Mediu.

Asked about the lists whether RP will field its team of candidates or will be part of the Democratic Party lists, Mediu said, “I believe that the Republican Party, in a joint list with the Democratic Party, will have its candidates in all regions.”

Asked if his party has been in touch with the new right-wing parties like that of Mrs. Topalli or Mr. Patozi, to field a joint team of candidates, if no agreement is reached with the DP on the lists, Mediu said that there were no negotiations.
