Through an official press release, the Constitutional Court announced that it has approved the new coat of arms and robe of constitutional judges. The notice, which is based on constitutional provisions and the law on national symbols, provides the details of the symbols used. Thus, the new coat of arms includes a double-crested golden and red eagle with the helmet of National Hero Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeg atop its heads.

“In the heart of the eagle, there is placed a round medal around which is written the Republic of Albania, the Constitutional Court. And under it, there are modeled green oak leaves, which symbolize power, justice and honesty, in the center of which rises above a blue background the scale of justice. The year 1992 is engraved on the supporting part of the scale”, said the Constitutional Court.

“Also, conceived under the same spirit is the new robe of the members of the Constitutional Court, which contains the elements of the National Flag and at the same time reflects the high constitutional, institutional, intellectual and social function of the constitutional judges”, reads the press release.

The Constitutional Court ends its press release by expressing its commitment to the new symbols and emphasizing the significance of its independence within the legal and constitutional system of Albania./p.s./
