On Friday, Prime Minister Edi Rama posted on social media videos from the construction sites of this key route, which will reduce both the distance and travel time to the southeast of the country.

Prime Minister highlighted that the road will boost economic growth going forward.

With the full completion of the Qukës – Qafë Plloçë road segment, which is 43.4 km long, the travel time on the national Tirana – Korçë route will be reduced by approximately 30 minutes.

Furthermore, this route ensures vital connectivity for the surrounding communities, thereby fostering new opportunities for the Mokra region and propelling the entire southeastern area to development. Approximately ten kilometers of this road segment run alongside the Shkumbin River, traversing the picturesque natural landscape of Mokra, which imparts to the route the character of a scenic roadway.
