TIRANA, July 9 /ATA/ The opening for traffic of the Orikum-Dukat road, about 15 km at length, shortens the distance to the coast as much as possible and gives a new breath to tourism and local economy.

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, on Sunday shared the voice of citizens and foreign visitors for the newest road axis, Orikum – Dukat, now open for traffic.

“It is the first time we are traversing it. Very good. I take this route every summer. We are very satisfied,” a citizen said.
While another citizen pointed out that, “the road is short and very fast to get here compared to the old road.”

“Very beautiful road, but also much needed. So far as good,” said another citizen.
While a Spanish tourist, who was cycling on this axis, said that, “the road is good and offers a comfortable trip.”

An Italian tourist said that, “it is a road that gives a positive feeling because it connects two parts that were difficult to reach. It’s a fantastic road.”
