To mark this day, PM Edi Rama posted Sunday views of the Shushica River in Vlora, southern Albania.

“September 26 marks the World River Day. The destruction wave against them in our has since long repelled and daily work now continues to protect them from abusers and regenerate the rivers’ beds,” Rama said.

Shushica river (or Vlora river) is one of the biggest tributaries of the Vjosa river. Its source is near the village of Kuç, the springs of Lëpushë and Buronjave, with a length of 80 km and a water catchment area of ​​about 715 square kilometers.
