TIRANA, Jan 19 /ATA/ The Prefect of Shkodra, Majlinda Angoni, on Thursday visited the Oboti area where she closely inspected the situation created by the bad weather.

In a media briefing, Angoni said that right now the situation is under control and all emergency staffs have been put on full alert.

“The situation is under control. Water discharges from Vaut i Dejes HPP are estimated at 500 m3, which is a normal situation given that there are 5 turbines in operation,” she said.

Angoni announced that, “Buna and Lake Shkodra have swollen. We have just been informed that a truck with army forces is en route to Obot to unblock this road, which is impassable for small cars.”
