TIRANA, June  21 /ATA/ Albania expects to be visited by at least 8 million passengers through Rinas International Airport.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, said on Wednesday from Golem, Durrës, that the summer season will see the highest flow of passengers.

The World Tourism Organization rated Albania third in the world and first in Europe for tourism growth during the first quarter of the year, compared to the pre-pandemic period, heralding a successful summer season.

The number of foreign citizens who visited Albania in 2022 reached 7.5 million, marking an increase of 32.6%, compared to 2021.
