Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared in the social media the elegant and dynamic images of the horse rides offered in the villages of Polen and Lavdar in Korça.

Polena is located 9 km west of the city of Korça, on the right of Korça – Erseka road.

The village stands as a natural balcony at the foot of the hills above the plain, 850-900 m above the sea level, becoming a tourist attraction for visitors not only for the cuisine of the area and the traditional pie, but also for the attractive nature.

ARDA Director Frida Krifca highlighted her example considering it a story that inspires and encourages initiatives for new business engagements.

“Kristina with great love for Gjirokastra, the Albanian village and the passion as I have never seen anywhere for horses invited me to have a look at the entrepreneurship and the atmosphere it has created that in fact exceeds the size of what the video can capture, but the heart does not” – said Krifca.

Kristina said that riding has been an early passion of hers and that as a child she remembers being fascinated by horses.

During the conversation with ARDA director, she said that she was working on setting up the riding track and organizing horse tours.

“The track will also serve as a place where everyone will have the opportunity to learn riding at every time of the year. While there are over 300 foreigners every year who attend for more than a week stay in “Caravan Horse Riding Albania” – said Kristina.

It shows that there are 12 guesthouses engaged that cooperate with “Caravan Horse Riding Albania”, to accommodate foreign visitors or tourists, who frequent and follow the ride.

“While we are expanding horseback riding tours by exploring different areas and places, it is increased the interest of locals and foreigners in us about horseback riding “, said Kristina.

“People come to discover the Albanian horse and to know Albania from a different point of view, on a horse back” – said Kristina, adding that the expansion of interest to know our country, tradition, culture, cuisine, makes this effort  a step towards sustainable tourism that generates income for many families in the area. /j.p/p.s./
