This is what Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, said at the inspection of works for its restoration.

“Our goal to restore the Concert Hall of the University of Arts met with a lot of skepticism, a few believed that we would succeed. Thanks to a new spirit of cooperation with TAP – Albania, which joined our vision for the revitalization of this historic hall, this new cultural pole, work continues apace to reinforce the structure of the building, to complete works in the mechanical and electrical system, as well as on its exterior, ” Margariti underlined.

The renovation of the concert hall at TAU consists in revitalization and technical-functional adaptation of the concert stage, which is part of the building of the University of Arts of Tirana.

The project brings together a number of partners, such as the Ministry of Culture of Albania and TAP, as co-sponsors of the project, the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation (Cooperazione Italiana), Atelier4 and the University of Florence.

The restoration work is scheduled to last 14 months and is expected to be completed by April 2022.

The concert hall at the University of Arts will turn into an important cultural pole in addition to being part of the architectural memory of this country.
