The Ministry of Finance and Economy reports that these revenues have amounted to 703 billion ALL, or 31.2% less than in January 2020, and 212 million ALL or 12% less than the target plan for the month.

The Albanian economy was affected by two subsequent shocks, November 26, 2019 earthquake, which caused an estimated damage of over 900 million euros with the need for reconstruction reckoned at over 1 billion euros, as well as the impact of Sars-CoV pandemic restrictions.

In this situation, the government decided, among other things, to relieve business from fiscal burden by postponing the deadline for payment of profit tax installments during 2020 and exempting from this tax businesses with an annual turnover of up to 14 million ALL for a period of 8 years.
