According to the financial indicators of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the tax administration also collected 2.6 billion lek more than planned during this period, registering an increase by 11%.

Data from the Ministry of Finance and Economy showed that revenue collections from VAT on imports amounted to 82.9 billion lek in the seven-month period of 2023, down by 3.7%, or around 3.2 billion lek less than during the same period of the previous year.

Data also indicate that revenue collections from VAT on imports fell by 5.5% or around 4.8 billion lek less than planned for this period.

Ministry of Finance said that VAT reimbursement in the first seven months rose 16.2% to 10.8 billion lek billion lek or 1.5 billion lek more than during same period of previous year. Vat reimbursement also increased by 6.5 % more than planned.
