TIRANA, February 3 /ATA/ Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja spoke today during a press conference on the law on cinemas.

He emphasized that there have been held all the necessary hearing sessions with the community while the amendments have been agreed upon. There will be set up a new agency with a completely new status and mode of operation since the National Center of Cinematography is currently very limited. The minister said that soon the center will pass into the concept of an agency that will be much more agile in terms of the sector.

The minister said that there is an open opportunity with a lot of film industry professionals. Soon the ministry will publish the agreement of the French Cinematography Center with the Albanian Center of Cinematography for the film and more funding.

“The project also carries a free economic zone for the creative industry. If we manage to raise funds, that until today we never imagined we would, then it will be a renaissance for the motion pictures. /r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, May 12 /ATA/ – Uleza, small lakeside village in northern Albania surrounded by other picturesque villages, has become a popular destination for both local and international visitors.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Thursday images showing the village that has been raised from oblivion thanks to the Urban Renaissance programme.

“Uleza in the district of Mat, home to stunning and fabulous landscape as if having descended from the sky amid lakes and lush forests and most recently raised from the oblivion thanks to the investment projects under the Urban Renaissance programme, is now attracting a growing number of local and foreign visitors,” PM Rama said.

Located between the municipalities of Mat and Mirdite, the regional Ulez Lake Park covers an area of 4 206 hectares at an elevation of 400 m above the sea level.

The Ulez lake is located about an hour drive from Tirana and is a great opportunity for intimate and family tourism. Ulez offers a possibility of enjoying the pure nature and delicious local food. This place is also known for its history and tradition.
