TIRANA, Jan 20 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Friday that investments in healthcare are moving ahead with the reconstruction of the National Blood Transfusion Center.

In a posting on social media, Prime Minister Rama shared images from the reconstruction of the National Blood Transfusion Center, which will undergo a complete reconstruction.

He emphasized that after reconstruction the National Blood Transfusion Center will be transformed into a center according to EU standards.

“Good morning and with another important investment in the health sector, the reconstruction of the National Blood Transfusion Center, which will be transformed into a decent center equipped with modern medical devices of EU standards, I wish you all a lovely day,” Rama writes.

This investment entails the complete reconstruction of the building, but also the restructuring of services, while the works are set to be completed within this year.

The complete intervention in the structure of the building will enable a decent and contemporary center of high quality, which will be equipped with laboratory, processing and blood bank management services, according to European standards.

The investment in the National Blood Transfusion Center is expected to increase the human resource capacities of the health service, but will also take scientific research in this field to another level.
