Rama emphasized that “this agreement guarantees the pension entitlements of Albanians in Italy and Italians in Albania.”

“At last, the Italian Senate has ratified the agreement recognizing social security contributions with Albania. This agreement ensures the pension entitlements of Albanians in Italy and Italians in Albania,” said Rama.

According to the Prime Minister, the agreement brings security and a new perspective for nearly half a million Albanians and 4,000 Italians.

“Benefits for old age, disability, family, illness, and unemployment pensions. We did it! Grazie Italia, grazie sorella d’Italia,” wrote Rama on social media.

The finalization of this agreement guarantees the rights of Albanian workers in Italy and Italian workers in Albania regarding their pensions.

“The scope of this agreement includes the benefits from the mandatory social security scheme, which covers old-age pensions, disability pensions, family pensions, sickness and maternity benefits, and unemployment insurance.”
