“Congratulations to Edi Rama on his reappointment as Prime Minister of Albania. I look forward to continuing our great dialogue and working together to achieve lasting peace and security for all of Europe,” President Zelensky said in his message.

Zelensky also wished Rama success in carrying out his ambitious reform agenda, including Albania’s path toward European Union membership.

“Together, we will advance our shared values and a secure and prosperous future for our nations in Europe that is strong and united,” Ukrainian President concluded.

The Albanian Parliament approved Rama’s new four-year governing program and cabinet earlier on Wednesday with 82 votes in favor.

Zelensky last visited Albania on May 15, 2025, for the European Political Community Summit, focused on regional security and support for Ukraine. His first visit was in February 2024 for the “Ukraine – South East Europe” summit, co-hosted with Rama in Tirana.
