TIRANA, August 14/ATA/ 38,915 French tourists visited Albania from January to July, twice as many as last year when there were 19,184.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media Laurence Depoux’s article for the well-known French newspaper “Femina”.

“True, full of history, colours, but above all informative and inspiring is this report by Laurence Delpoux for French readers”, emphasized Rama.

“Through conversations with actors of Albanian tourism, there are listed many places and more reasons why the tourists must visit Albania, from the southern beaches to Përmeti and Gjirokastra”, Rama added.

Albania is marking this year the best tourist season due to the high influx of foreign visitors who have come to our country.

INSTAT reported that in June 2022, the number of foreign citizens who entered the Albanian territory is 876,056. This number has increased by 45.0%, compared to June 2021./j.p/p.s./

TIRANA, April 22 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama told a closing election campaign meeting in Tirana that a series of major infrastructure and tourism investment projects, worth 10 billion euros, will be finalized in the next four years in Albania and they would significantly boost economic activity and employment throughout the country.

“Projects are ready and funds totalling over 10 billion euros have been earmarked to support construction of four sky gates and four sea gates in the coming years,” PM Rama said in his remarks.

According to Rama, Albania has huge potential and everything else it needs to attract millions of visitors each year.

“We have today long-cherished projects over the years and design and funding to support these projects have been made available by some of the world’s biggest companies to inject over 10 billion euros in opening four sky gates and four sea gates and give this blessed country all the energy generated by the multiplication of the visitors and tourists!” he said.

The Premier also said that the government will also offer an amnesty to Albanian citizens living and working abroad so that they can formalize their savings created through work, but not illegally, so that they can invest in agritourism and other businesses in their hometowns.

TIRANA, February 7 /ATA/ “The project for the construction of the tourist port in Saranda has been finalized. Now, we are just waiting for the company to be organized and start working.”

Prime Minister Edi Rama made the statement today during an interview for ERTV from Saranda where he stressed that the work for the transformation of Saranda continues and the yacht port is one of those projects that will bring another community of foreigners to the coastal city in the south of the country.

“The beginning of the tourist port in Saranda and the return of that bay, today abandoned, into a bay where they can anchor and park during the winter, several hundred yachts will make the economy grow again,” Rama said.

“Only from the parking of yachts here, there will be a new community of foreigners, who are the ones who stay together with the yachts and will be consumers here even during the winter”, – said Rama.

Asked about investments in the villages of this area, the prime minister said that, “There are many villages in Albania in Saranda and wherever they are still without the road, they deserve it. We need to understand that not everything can be done at once and it is very important that every step and every investment we make is not only in function of that destination, but in function of generating more than that “.

Speaking about the investments made by the government during these eight years, PM Rama said that they are a tangible reality that has generated significant economic income for the community where they were made.

In this interview, PM Rama confessed that being at work all the time is his way of life, as he tries to be up to the mark of the extraordinary height of honor given to him by the citizens by placing him at the top.

PM Rama said that the motive that has kept him in that position, is the desire to leave a good memory. /a.a/p.s./
