The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and 50 heads of state participated in the high level debate.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Rama stated that, “we can have differences, of course we have differences on how to support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and dignity, we can have different views on how this war will end and will discuss all these, but it would be an insult to the intelligence of this organization if they do not agree unanimously and say out loud who is the aggressor and who is the victim of aggression. It is the same sharp distinction between war and peace, as Tolstoy would remind you. Go back and read them again.”

“If we do not accept this crystal clear truth, we are not only letting Ukraine and its people down, but are also failing to fulfill our responsibility, we are compromising the future and we are betraying all our children. Ukraine’s war is a war of everyone who aspires to live in a world where nations are free and equal, where territorial integrity is inalienable, and the right to live in peace is indisputable. The opposite is not only a short day, but very dangerous for everyone under this roof”, said Rama.
