The PM added that the government’s ambition is to reduce this figure to 6% by 2030, which is the average rate of the European Union.

“At present, the average salary in Albania is 830 euros, a substantial rise from the 322 euros when we started. This marks a significant advancement, similar to the remarkable growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The GDP has increased from under 10 billion euros to nearly 25 billion euros today. This growth in GDP has been driven by work, not by other factors.”
“Today, we have reached the lowest unemployment rate in history, at 8.8%. The unemployment rate is a mirror image of the labor force, and in this report, we have effectively halved the unemployment rate. Our goal for 2030 is to reduce it further to 6%, which is the EU’s average rate,” said Rama.
